To Whom It May Concern,
As a former 16 year Superintendent of Schools, I am pleased to recommend Christopher Tadley for the position of substitute teacher in your district.
I have worked with Chris here at Albright College for the past three years. Chris has been a student in two of my classes: EDU 301 Educational Psychology and EDU 303 American Education Systems. Chris is currently completing student teaching this semester and will graduate in May with both his bachelor’s degree and his Pennsylvania teaching certificate.
What has most impressed me about Chris have been the following:
Work Ethic: Chris is one of the most focused students I have taught at Albright. No assignment is too great; no task is too complex. He places his attention on not only getting the work done; he also makes sure the work is completed correctly and ahead of time. He worked tirelessly in both courses and gave each assignment his complete attention.
Strength of Program: Chris was one of only a handful of students who not only completed his elementary certification program; he also managed to complete a major in business administration, one of the most challenging academic programs on campus. He accomplished both in four years, which only adds to the strength of his accomplishment.
Interpersonal Skills: Chris possesses outstanding interpersonal skills. In watching him work on a number of class projects, I could easily see that Chris has the ability to enact either the leader or follower role as the task demands or as requested by his peers. In looking at groups of students, other students wanted to work with Chris. He never had to seek for helpers. With his organizational ability, his teams always accomplished their tasks with the highest grades.
Professional Preparation: Having completed our full certification program, Chris is more than ready and prepared to enter any classroom. He possesses the instructional planning and delivery skills needed for today’s classroom environment. He has the management and organization skills needed to guide classes of students successfully to the school’s goals. He possesses the interpersonal skills to motivate students and to be a role model for any youngster assigned to his class.
In summary, I can recommend Chris to you without reservation.
As a former superintendent, I would want Chris as a member of my staff. He will work well with other grade level or instructional team members. Most importantly, he will bring an outstandingly POSITIVE attitude to your school and staff.
If I can be of any future help regarding Chris, please contact me at 610-780-0271 (cell) or by email at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Joseph S. Yarworth, Ph.D.
